That's fine, don't try lumping me in with that group because I've never said that.

I'm interested in why these women continue to have children, when they know the grim reality.

There isn't just one answer here.

Low education. Women with higher educations have fewer children. Of course, this begs the question, were they poorly educated and that is why they had so many kids or did they have kids and couldn't get a higher education. Probably a little of both, there aren't many pregnant women in college.

Innate desire to procreate and urban cities tend to have more women than men. So, some might feel that they need to have a kid to keep the man.

To your original question. Some know that not having the father around isn't good. Some are hoping he will stick around. Some are attracted to criminals, but are shocked if/when the criminal baby daddy gets locked up.

He might be referring to me. I was on food stamps for several years through a rough patch. My EBT easily allowed me to eat lobster, crab legs and top quality steak on a regular basis. I had to try to deplete the amount given to my family of four while I was on the program

They think that the child equals automatic love.

Something they didn't get from the many "baby-daddies" they slept with.

More babies equal more nonjudgmental love.

Sad.

I doubt they sit down and think about it much. Their babies just happen.

Unfortunately, the stats show that many of their children will end up dead, before their 18th birthday, especially if they reside in low income inner city areas.

It doesn't just happen, obviously they are engaging in sex. They should at least demand that the guy use a condom.
