Pit bulls are savages! No wonder they are banned in Miami & Denver! The cops in 1989 had to shoot a pit bull because he couldn't stop chewing off the scalp of a 3 year old!

At the rate we're going humans will be one of the few animals left on the planet and they'll only have cockroaches and crocodiles to fight against for land.

If we're going to talk about what living thing is the most dangerous to other humans hands down it's other humans. There's not even a close comparison with any other animals or, hell, all other animals combined.

The intelligent thing to do is to address the most important issues first and then move down the line... In about 1,000 years you'll finally get to canines if you could find a way to be successful.
Well there are plenty of animals that don't need a safe zone. Pit Bulls aren't one. We aren't talking about humans encroaching on land that is inhabited by the wild pit bull here. We are talking about humans taking these animals as pets and introducing them into OUR habitat. It aint working. Maybe I'm wrong maybe the owners are at fault as they should never even have em in the first place. But these folks think the person who feeds em is teaching em wrong somehow. No they are just animals who do what they do no matter who owns em. That is why you don't have a pet tiger. Unless you think tigers can be introduced into our culture as a pet. Of course folks will blame guess who when the tiger takes out it's instincts and kills folks. I mean a tiger would never go attack anything right??

I just put down my blk lab for biting my wife for the second time and found out that blk labs lead the county in dog bites. My pit bull Hurley has never shown aggressive behavior and like some others have pointed out he loves to lick people. He is the smartest dog that I have ever owned and would never consider getting rid of him.

They are like children. If you teach them right, they are no worst than any other dog. In fact they are actually more loyal than many other breeds! We love Dixie, our pit. She is a huge baby, and I doubt she has any clue how to bite anyone. You'd think she'd at least bark when someone new shows up. Nope. She trys to lick them to welcome them. So much for that good guard dog we thought of when we got her. I think if they pet her she help them pack everything!

this 100%

They're not particularly good for anything but fighting. There are much better catch dogs for hunting, and thrre are MUCH MUCH better breeds for pets.
