The movie itself, probably not. But I get my slavery knowledge from plethra of books NOT the Roots movie. All roots did was give us a visual an actaul dipection of those times unlike just reading books. Don't tell me you a Tom.

Do you believe Goree slave house in Senegal was real? You know for a fact that white slaves didn't happen the way they said it happen but you believe that we were the only ones that went through those conditions on this land and on the journey to this land. Doubtful. I know alot more about it than you think including past that article. You want the victimhood but a lie cannot withstand the truth.

That is not anti-white at all, it is the absolute truth. A whole race of people brought to two Continents to be treated as less than humans for the advancement for another race. Did you think they brought our ancestors over just because they wanted black people around for the hell of it? Problem was they just could not get rid of the dark plague, too numerous. So in many places in the "New World" they made legislation specifically aimed at delaying our advancement. Plus you do not have to be "Ghetto" for people to have a problem with your black skin. Nobody is doing that. You just want the victimhood to yourself. You're now being told something that they didn't teach you in the school system. Something that has been documented by hundreds of personal memoires and you are rejecting it.

Only three states specifically mentioned slavery in their secession procedures, though, I believe.
The punitive Morrill Tariff (among others) was the immediate cause. Slavery was a secondary issue.
Southern leaders and smart people everywhere knew that slavery would eventually have an expiration date...and that date would be the very moment it became unprofitable to own slaves...but the government decided to wage total "scorched earth" war on fellow americans who wanted to peacefully and legally withdraw from the union.
Tariffs might have come later, but there was alot of fear among many people that if Lincoln was elected, he would abolish slavery. It wasn't Lincoln's intentions, but many people had fear. There were elite plantation owners who depended on slavery.
Considering that I am descended from slaves, I don't care if people thought "it will die out eventually". I don't think like that. I think in terms of "I would rather be dead than be a slave". That is why I don't have respect for the Confederate secession. For me, it is about my family history.

First of all I KNOW that whites as well others were slaves too BUT to compare ANY SLAVERY in America to that of black slavery in America is RIDICULOUS and you KNOW IT. Secondly I know what I'm talking about I have been schooled by WELL educated history scholars face to face who do this for a living NOT that generic BULL they teach in the school system. So don't u try to come at me with that BULL Tom!
