The law is one of the strictest in the nation for medicinal marijuana, but it's a foot in the door. This issue is definitely trending in the right direction.

Baby steps. Hopefully Ohio will follow. They're trying.

Well, that'll keep these guys out of the donut shops, they look like they need exercise anyway. Chasing more intoxicated drivers and pedestrians.

With so many people having reported benefits from medical use I just can't understand how a silly weed can be banned while drugs whose side affects "may include death" are allowed.

Well, actually I do understand, the Big Pharma lobby is a lot more powerful($$$) than the silly weed lobby.

I guess they'll have to retire all those working drug dogs now. Hopefully some people will adopt.

It is ridiculous. Thankfully the idiots who cling to "Reefer Madness" are becoming a minority. Sooner or later prohibition of cannabis will end.

Wow

I am a physician who really does not care whether you smoke pot or not. However, THERE IS NOT ONE RANDOMIZED, BLINDED, PROSPECTIVE study showing a "medical benefit" of pot. There are MANY poor studies and anecdotal reports of the "benefits" of pot. These, of course, have no relevance.

What we do not want, as physicians, is pot head jamming our clinics in search of scripts for pot. We have real medical issues and patients with actual problems to take care of and do not want potheads pestering us.

If you want to smoke weed- do so. However, do not even begin to suggest that there is ANY "medical" benefit to pot, as there is none. Gee.................... I wonder why we don't smoke our anti-hypertensives and anti-anginal medicines? Why don't pot heads like merinol for pain? Why don't they like Tylenol, which functions via cannabanoid receptors?
