So if the happiest states are liberal states, that's proof of how great liberalism is. If the happiest states were conservative states, it would be proof that conservatives are oppressing others to make themselves happy.

You're missing out. I've had a few nice vacations at Balaton, and it was incredible. Women are stunning too.

They smoke too damn much...that is my only complaint. You'd be hard pressed to find a city more beautiful than Budapest.

Give it a shot if you can.

Which way to happy? Geographically speaking, it's the route to Hawaii, Maine or one of the clusters of blissful cities in California and Colorado. You know... those horribly blue places where those miserable liberals are supposed to live, and where everything is supposed to be all screwed up.
California? That place that continuously releases convicted repeat sex offenders and felons?(see CNN lol)
Yeah, sounds like paradise to maybe an idiot.
Nice place to visit, for about a week.
Screw that, the dim wads can have it.

One day...I'm Hungarian from both sides...I'd like to see the motherland before I give up the ghost.

How in the heck did MT, UT, NH and VT even come close to the top given their woeful lack of diversity?

Diversity is some overused catch all. Plenty of diverse places around the globe that are not happy and are violent and dangerous.
