So, UNSCOM reported that all the WMD materials they had said were unaccounted for, were in fact accounted for? Cite the source for that.

Clinton ordered a military strike against Iraq. How is that not an act of war?

I said that? Besides, UNSCOM couldn't have said sh.t in the Bush era, what with it being disbanded in 1999.

As it happesn, when you have a country in complete disrepair, you don't get a full account. Sh.t gets lost. Papers are fudged in dictatorships - "Yes, Mr. Hussein, we have produced 125% of our expected quota". You may have noticed that none of the material unaccounted for was ever located, and lots of it was dual-use.

As for the supposedly positive intel used to justify the war, UNMOVIC (under Blix) were directed to numerous sites going on the oh-so-competent advice of US and UK intel, and not only was there nothing there - the sites could not have been used as the intel described it. As in "We saw a SCUD TEL in that building, we're sure of it!" and when UNMOVIC arrived, the building had no doors big enough to let in a vehicle anywhere near that size.

You found one colonel who'd play along, congrats. I am still trying to connect the post-war count of 500 unfirable shells with the pre-war justification about "a mushroom cloud over one of our cities", can someone outline the causality here? Because as far as I can tell, the mushrooms were the American public: Kept in the dark and fed horsesh.t.

What? Who cares how you feel about it? The point wasn't to make you feel better, but to follow up on US intelligence. Your feelings are not a factor.

Does this ignore that either the Iraqi's were lying and claiming they didnt have them, (when clearly they did since they were found)
They weren't found. The scum Bush didn't go before the UN arguing that maybe a few degraded shells left over from twenty years earlier might be lying around, the scum Bush argued Iraq had all sorts of weapons, mobile labs, etc. There were no such things. Your attempt to pretend the scum Bush's lies were vindicated is simply weak.

or do you believe they were telling the truth and simply lost them, and if thats the case, why exactly shouldnt we have gone in to secure them?
Secure what? The weapons you believe were there because the scum Bush said so and you supported the scum Bush? There were no weapons. No weapons were found. Your soldiers didn't even bother looking for them when they got there, the Oil Ministry building was far more important to US goals in Iraq.

They didn't. You're confusing negative evidence with positive evidence. Don't feel bad, better people than you were bamboozled.

Exactly. There never was any statement by UNSCOM that the KNOWN missing WMD materials were ever accounted for.
