The earth is not just 6000 years old...why even bring up such a stupid thing? Is this some atheist mantra that they depend on to disprove "creation" ? Only an idiot would believe in such nonsense...so atheists really do have the upper hand when debating fundamentalist Christians- They would not fair well debating the boss - Jesus Christ who's doctrine was reality and logic...no the fault of the believer that some believers are stupid- Just as you have stupid believers - You have stupid atheists. We know there were was a past on the earth. The bible talks about giants on the earth.. giant men. A few things were revealed on the history of earth and some are not clear but it has a history. The bible speaks of the rebirth of the earth and man was formed by God.
After all , we put a seed in the earth and out comes an oak tree from a small acorn. If someone told you that without experiencing it , you would think it was crazy. All things came from the earth.. all what we see today , all that we have created here.. We were born in the image of God and God is the great Creator and we create as he created.. it is a trait of being God's creation. We come from dust and we go back to dust.
The Holy Spirit is God. If the Holy Spirit was completely removed, we would have hell on earth. There would be no good thing here. The Holy Spirit holds back the evil that comes into the world . One must know that good overcomes evil.
Jesus holds all things together. Even the cells that are made in the body. Every power on earth comes from God. Without his power the destroyer would have full reign here on earth.

Actually the earth is billion of years old. How do we know that man was created by god. Who was there that wrote this down. Did they even know how to write...doubtful....and in what language.
There is also a counterpoint to your claim. Certainly judging from the religious people who post on this forum, I would tend to believe this study over yours.

I'm sorry but being catholic and a product of catholic schools we were never taught any of this. And we do have hell on earth with the homeless, the hungry, wars, just to name a few

Because the oldest material on the planet (zircons) can be proven to be 4.4 billion years old. Rocks from the Moon, and meteorites have all been dated to around 4.4-4.5 billion years.

Because it is. Just look at what scientists have proved. But people believed the world was flat too. And my mom and dad gave me life not god.
