Once again your rhetoric is out of touch with reality. The budget was balanced in 2005 and the state only had a tiny budget deficit in 2006 & 2007, during the great recession income went down and the result was a deficit, but they've cut the budget continuously and it is balanced in 2013 (between the cuts and the improvement in tax collection). The reality is not only is the budget balanced but California is currently leading the nation in new job creation beating #2 Texas in 6 out of the last 8 months and in some months creating as much as 50% of all the new jobs in the entire country.
I know these facts make you unhappy, having to face reality instead of comforting ideological lies is bound to do that, but they are never the less facts and pretending they don't exist won't make them go away.
How can it be balanced with the huge pension liability hanging over their heads?
Ahh, so even with a link to the state constitution you can't back up your absurd claim that supposedly the state constitution outlaws all other forms of power plants except natural gas? Hell, over 50% of the states power generation comes from other sources already but you're just not man enough to admit you are wrong, are you? What a mook.
I'm born and raised in So Cal.... I've been to other states, in my opinion, the way the state is being run, it has a very shaky future. I own a home here and as soon as my personal situation warrants, I'm gonna get the hell out of here lickity split.
I just hope I can time the selling of my house properly, catch the cycle right.
The only things I like about here is the weather.......maybe that there is a lot of things to do, but the cons far far outweigh the pro's......

Hey shmuk, where did I say outlawed. Show me. Duke Energy wanted to build a natural gas power plant but gave it up and referenced the State constitution.
CA imports most of its power anyway. No Power company wants to build in CA anyway.
