According to the WSJ both McCain and Graham will vote no if they don't think Obama is willing to go far enough against Assad. How's that for a nice out?
IMO the House will vote no. They're going to be looking at polls that show America is overwhelmingly against a Syrian action, plus the GOP flat out doesn't trust Obama. He's never made any effort to reach out and court the GOP and suddenly they're supposed to get in line before a major election cycle.
The Democrats in the Senate will back him and he'll use that for cover to launch the cruise missles.
Wonderfully Machiavellian. He got himself cornered on the red line bit and just escaped. Now he deals with what the Congress tells him it do. And if he does not he claims humanity and justice demands otherwise.
I think he will go with the view of the Congress and properly blame it on them. They have the power to declare war so if they screw it up....

I like that. It's Congress fault if they vote no, forcing Obama to do the humanitarian thing and shoot the missles. It's Congress fault if they vote yes, forcing Obama to shoot the missles. This guy is a weasel.
the house so far is 48-16 No, while many of the undecided seem reluctant, some do not.
Senate is 22-8 yes, and again most of the undecided seem reluctant based on their comments U.S. Senate: How they'll vote on Syria strike
