If nothing else Reagan at least made it okay to be proud to be American and he restored optimism after the Carter malaise.
Bush 43 wasn't much and Obama's been even worse. Actually, if Obama wasn't worse than Bush 43 you'd swear that Bush 43 was still in office.

Reagan was a great President. No question about it.

Another one-sided example of a dysfunctional view of things. Are you saying that the "media" hasn't been Obama's mouthpiece? Main scream media raked Bush over the coals for anything, openly, and with malice.
Anyone who is against Obama is instantly labeled something by main scream.
The better statement is that it's the media working frantically to make Obama look good. And finally, THEY are at wits end. Obama isn't used to being grilled by ABC and CNN, but it is beginning to happen.
Sorry buddy boy the Poll was sponsored by.... WAIT FOR IT...... The Economist- A left leaning rag.
HAH!!! even the Liberals are sick of this POSTUS.
The Economist is hardly a "left-leaning" rag. It's based in the UK, and probably is a little bit right of center, both in the UK and the US political spectrum.

You are making a comparative argument and yet you post nothing to back it up.
What exactly do you define as "grilled" and if so, why do you believe Bush was grilled to that Degree and Obama wasnt.
What makes you believe Obama is being propped up by the media, but Bush's was pushed down by it, again use examples, not just blanket statements.

You are correct.
The Economist, by the way, is incredibly informative about world affairs, and does not have a political axe to grind about American politics, which I truly love, it is great to read about politics without any bias added to the discussion.
If anything, it leans conservative, as evidenced by it attacking Obama a few months ago for not bombing Syria. The latest issue takes aim at Obama once again.
No one can scrub clean the stink of the Bush/Cheney era. Perhaps the most destructive duo to ever disgrace the office.
Even though this thread is not about Bush/Cheney, would did they (and they alone) do that was so destructive?
If you bring up the Afghan and Iraq war, that passed through Congress. At least Bush/Cheney were not using drones.
