Exactly!!! And if you ask me, currently it's Big Pharma who are the biggest drug pushers on the planet! But that's OK, I suppose, because they're legal. Nevermind that doctors give the crap out like candy today!

Prove that.

Even at 20%, which is false, your solution would be to increase the coast guard, customs, and police forces by 80% to seize the rest of the drugs?

Police state much?

No, I did not say we should increase the forces by 80%. I'd prefer to work smarter as opposed to harder.

By how much should your federal income taxes be raised to pay for that and then raised again to pay to build the prisons to put all the people in, who the military police invasion bring in? Or do you think money grows on trees, especially tax money?

They are working as much as possible, and as smart as possible.

However, still only 5% of all drugs are seized.

You still didn't prove your 20% mark, because it's wrong.

What's your bright smart idea? Increase prison size? More government spending.

More law enforcement? More government spending.

Prohibition doesn't work. Never has, never will

History has proven this. But of course, we never learn from it.

We could divert some funds from military spending (by closing overseas bases) to completing the border fence, and increasing surveillance, preferably high tech kind. This will improve the situation with illegal immigration, terrorist infiltration and drug smuggling.

There you go. More spending.

I say we save our money and allow freedom. You suggest a police state with increased spending.

If defense was cut by 10% in our lifetime I'd be amazed. You suggest more police, more big brother, and spending more money.

Exactly. If prohibition didn't work for something that had to be manufactured-like alcohol-why in the hell would prohibition work for a natural plant that heartily grows all over the Earth and always has.

Should we make cockroaches illegal next? They're pretty annoying.

I can't believe people still even argue about this.

No. Diverting money from one program to another is not more spending. As a matter of fact by modest cuts like overseas base closures, we could triple border security, and still save billions. It's a win-win situation.

No, I just said less spending, and having strong border security hardly equates to "police state".

No, I am not. Maybe you should come back when you are sober.
