That is correct, which a little dishonest reporting and naive people will tend to ignore a couple of things as well.

1. The wealthy do not pay income tax since the wealthy do not work for anyone. They may pay capital gains tax but they are taxed at a much lower rate

2. The poor pay taxes on EVERYTHING that they buy depending on the state. Even those who are getting unemployment benefits pay taxes on those as well.

3. The truely wealthy have armies of tax experts and accountants constantly looking for tax loopholes to exploit.

4. How many poor people have overseas tax shelters?

What, do you think they'll kick you some scraps or something? Good luck:

The income gap between the richest 1 percent and the rest of America last year reached the widest point since the Roaring Twenties.

The top 1 percent of U.S. earners collected 19.3 percent of household income in 2012, their largest share since 1928. And the share held by the top 10 percent of earners last year reached a record 48.2 percent.

U.S. income inequality has been growing for almost three decades. But it grew again last year, according to an analysis of IRS figures dating to 1913 by economists at the University of California, Berkeley, the Paris School of Economics and Oxford University.

Last year, the incomes of the top 1 percent rose nearly 20 percent compared with a 1 percent increase for the remaining 99 percent.

Top 1 Percent Took Record Share of 2012 US Income
Oh don't worry, I wasn't worried about you. So what do you consider the 1% to be. How much? Do you know the difference between income and wealth?

Democrats do love to tell others what to do. Think about your family, friends. It is hard to determine what law would benefit each one of them because everyone is different and have different issues. yet democrats think they know what is best for millions.

When I was growing up I looked forward to moving out of my parents home. I never said I wanted to stay so they could tell me what to do. I don't get why people like government telling them what to do. Has government become a replacement for parents. Who knows.

Who could say republicans are not the party of the rich?
Democrats want to take money from a successful person so they can buy people like you.

Republicans are the party of the working and middle class. They want lower taxes for everyone. Democrats want to tax everyone into oblivion, they just know the poor have nothing to give but their vote can be bought.

The fact is anyone can become RICH in this country if their willing to WORK, and work HARD. Put the hours in, there are plenty
of jobs out there..hell the illegals r all working because many Americans are too lazy and would rather take welfare..

Another problem is the growing number of NON-PROFITS who don't pay taxes. Cushy jobs that don't pay into the system..

I make pretty good money. When a democrat is in power I am rich. They say I can buy yachts, private planes, a couple mercedes. When a republican is in office I am middle class. I can pay my way but I am not rich and can't afford yachts, private planes, mercedes.

I know what I can buy afford and democrats are way off.

I make decent money myself, yet I am by no means rich, yet I pay taxes.
