If someone sees my wedding ring, they ask if I am married, am I supposed to lie and say no, or that I have a wife and not a husband? Saying that my spouse is male, does not tell everyone that we have sex

Exactly.

The "your sex life isn't anyone's business" is kind of a canard. It involves family, and family is super important in our culture.

Relationships and sex are also pretty much topic #1 in many workplace environments. For godssake I can't even stop my secretary from going on about her dates, her son, her's son's girlfriend, etc.

Soap operas, romance, gossip columns... the love story and relationship angle is always key.

Now, this doesn't mean that you need to tell people what you do in bed, but I don't know of any gay person that comes out by saying, "I am so and so, and I like oral sex with men." It's usually just, "I'm gay," or "My partner so and so."

I also think people discount or understand that out celebs and athletes are role models for (especially young) gay people. It is important for everyone to have role models they can relate to, especially when growing up different and faced with discrimination from both the outside world, as well as sometimes one's family.

Pretty difficult to keep that info "private" if you hope to have any social contact with just about anybody anywhere.
The "keep it in the bedroom crowd" - read this.

It would be beyond bizarre for me to say that when you introduce me to your wife and children, I immediately think of the sex acts required to produce your children (if they are biological). When someone tells me they're pregnant, my first thought isn't the night of conception. When my brother called me to tell me he was asking his girlfriend to marry him, I didn't immediately think of the wedding night. That would show some significant mental illness and an obsession with sex.

Why does a person thanking or simply acknowledging a same-sex partner make you think of sex acts? And why in heavens are you letting your children out of the house - that's not keeping it in the bedroom!

I agree, but what does that have to do with knowing somebody's sexual orientation?

"The sex lives of other people are none of [your] business"... UNTIL they make it your business, by pushing it in your face on all forms of media, and even pushing laws attempting to force you to embrace their sexual fetishes (sexual substitutes).

Public figures who come out as having homosexual preferences know that today's biggest influence is not politicians, or even the best books - it is media - movies, music - that is how people who are too lazy to think for themselves, look for others to tell them what to think.

Those in the public spotlight have enormous responsibility- whether they like it or not. When they try to market homosexual practices, that according to the USCDC, prove to be statistically harmful (STDs, AIDS and mental illness), they are essentially doing what is known as "malpractice." Of course, they are not doctors, and it is not against the law for them to use their fame to comercialize homosexual fetishes, but it is ethically wrong. Countless people follow their example - and engage in harmful behaviors, like anal sex, which even in 2 healthy men - can result in anal fissures, anal cancer, bacterial infection and colon ruptures, according to doctors/modern medicine.

Do they tell you about the STDs, AIDS, anal fissures, and bacterial infection, etc, when their flaunting their sexual substitutes?
Of course not - it's all made out to be "happy happy gay gay."
And how many have to learn the hard way that such a lifestyle isn't anything close to happy!

I don't think I want to even begin to address the utter ignorance, prejudice and lies in this post.

Where is the vomit smiley when I need it?

Please, do tell us about all the lesbians getting HIV and experiencing "anal fissures." Last I check a full 50% of gay folks are lesbians.

Then, tell us more about how all gay men engage in anal sex, and how no straight people ever engage in anal sex. Show us how depictions of heterosexual anal sex isn't some of the best selling pornographic material out there. We are waiting.

YOU are a perfect example of a sex obsessed heterosexual "anti-gay," within whom a real perversion and obsession lies with sex acts that you apparently dwell upon and study for many hours a night, I'm sure. For, um, "research purposes and soul saving," I'm sure. Particularly man on man sex.

Sure is funny how that's always how it seems to work, huh?

Sexual substitutes? Boy this is now one of the lamest reasons I have hear now. Do you mean a man having sex with a man is substituting it for sex with a woman? Really, you must have experience. I am sure you must know that sex between a man and a woman can also lead to std's AIDS and other diseases, they are not just disease gays get and lesbians suffer fewer of those diseases then gay men or straight people. I guess you think that women who have anal sex with their male spouses also do not get "anal fissures", for over 40% of heterosexual couples polled admited to practicing anal sex. Plus having sex is not a fetish, using toys while having sex is though. You must be confused.

You have a very foolish wish/hope. That day will never happen. Decent, moral people will always stand against sin.

Oh, look at you and your "sin". Very cute. Please leave your Bronze Age superstitions out of the equation.
If you don't want to sin, suit yourself. Kindly refrain from imposing your religious beliefs on others. It's none of your business.

Who do you think you are? You are the one on the WRONG side of the issue.

Don't come on a forum in America and try to dictate and order someone from expressing themselves. You better check what nation you are in, pal.
