Congress is not a prosecutorial body and you do not testify before Congress or anyone else during an open investigation. Issa knew going into this that any IRS employee involved in that investigation was going to rightly plead the Fifth. This was kabuki theatre and red meat for the base and you've fallen for Iss's false sense of outrage.
Isnt she the same individual that asked Congress for another week to prepare to testify? Why does one need a week to prepare to plead the 5th?
If Lehrner ever gets convicted of a crime, perhaps that will be more than mere bloviation.
Until then, you're still just hating on the United States Constitution.
And you are just a shameful joke of an American for applauding the stonewalling. But of course, you're a hypocrite liberal l, why should we expect you to want justice, truth, and accountability unless it helps your agenda.....
I wonder why they don't offer immunity. Probably because they have too much on her and maybe getting her another way. I would hate to see either party use the IRS to go after people on either side of the isle. I think Nixon did a little bit of that. Can you imagine the IRS now handling even more like the AHC. Gosh, they can ruin one lives. They are scary yet we the people actually gave them the power.

Lol
Everyone should be outraged that the party in power uses the IRS as a weapon against political opponents.
Just wait for the immunity and Lerner will have to testify.
That or Obama will use executive privilege again to hide the corruption of his administration just like he did for holder.
I thought Bush was a bad president, but Obama and his administration has redefined the term.
No, pleading the 5th means they dotn believe the person asking the question should have the answer, for whatever reason..
You could ask me how much money I have in the bank, I could plead the 5th, there isnt a crime taking place, its just not your business..
No it doesn't. "Pleading the 5th" means you don't want to provide information because the answer may be used to prosecute YOU in the future.
Questioner: Do you see who robbed the bank yesterday?
Witness: No. I was busy killing my husband at the time and did not notice.
Questioner: Bailiff. Please take the witness into custody for the murder of her husband.
By "pleading the 5th" they would have never knew about the murder.
And you are just a shameful joke of an American for applauding the stonewalling.
Oh. I'm so hurt. It is an ironic hurt of course. But a hurt none the less. I must go weep.

LOL... thanks for that. You have replaced my tears with mirth and amusement.
Right... Issa's committee hearings have ever, once, in all their history ever been about "justice, truth, and accountability." Please. My ribs ache. Make the laughter stop.
To hell with the liberals expected, predicted defense of her.
The bottom line is this. She REFUSES to reveal the truth. She has information and refuses to get to aide in giving the American people answers. The fact that she refuses unless she gets immunity pretty much points to she may have info the incriminates herself in some way.
The IRS also refuses to cooperate by releasing all emails that were asked for.
And Obama, the lying scumbag, of course says nothing. The guy really is a piece of trash of a person and American.
If it were so meaningless, you guys would not have created this thread for the purpose of whining about it.
I'm talking about the babble that anyone who questions the need for immunity means that they hate the constitution. Thats YOUR argument, and its pathetic
