If I had something growing inside me that I didn't want there, you can bet I would be doing everything in my power to get it out.
These clinics may close, but women in that vicinity who want an abortion will undoubtedly still have one. Thanks to conservatives it may now be done in a much more dangerous environment.

Among the two is the only abortion clinic in the Rio Grande Valley, an area with over a million people.

Seeing how hispanics have high birth rates, I don't think most of them are worried about a lack of murder mills errr "abortion clincs" anyway. This mostly affects white liberal skanky women who can't keep their legs closed or don't know how to use birth control.
So if you don't carry a gun and subsequently are raped, then it's just your cross to bear, is that what you're saying?
I am not going to comment one way or another on abortion, however; one should most definitely have the means to defend themselves, whether it be with a gun or without, or a man or woman.
True... I believe there's a pill that could be taken right after to prevent a pregnancy if im not mistaken...
Yes, Plan B or the morning after pill. But it isn't 100% effective. Please understand...I am not a hardcore pro-choicer and I support some of the new laws (such as the 20-week limit), but I find the practice of making laws with the intent of shutting down any type of business or organization disturbing. I also find the callous comments regarding rape and coat hangers disgusting.

I don't understand why a clinic would have to close over something like having doctors with admitting privileges. WHat kind of doctors are we talking about that a hospital doesn't want anything to do with them?

Many hospitals are religiously-affiliated. I would guess that is especially the case in the RGV, a heavily Hispanic and Catholic area.
Twenty-four clinics remain to serve a population of 26 million women.........
The sensationalism oozing out of this article is absolutely disgusting. No one in their right mind would believe that 26 million women are now reliant on 24 clinics. This ridiculous notion assumes that every woman in Texas would possibly seek abortion services.

I admit that I am not up on this aspect so it will be something to look up.
