Walmarts Total revenue one year was $129.7 billion, Walmart's labor costs amounts to about 1 percent of the company's annual sales, so we are responsible for paying welfare to walmart employees so that walmart can make $129.7 billion a year because they refuse to pay a living wage.
You need to ask Walmart's customers why that is ...

Walmart CEO Mike Duke – already a millionaire a dozen times over – received an $18.1 million compensation package. The Walton family controlling over 48 percent of the corporation through stock ownership does even better. Together, members of the Walton family are worth in excess of $102 billion – which makes them one of the richest families in the world.

What is shameful is that CEO Mike Duke makes more money in one year than his employees did all together for the whole year.

That just walmart, not any other corporate welfare queens.

Walmart is a publicly traded company. Their stock is held by many union pension systems. YOU tell union members that their pension will be reduced because you don't like Walmart's profits.

That so full of bs, why would paying your workers a few dollars more would raise prices? Why would that be the customers responsiblity? Obviously they have the money to do it without raiseing prices if they pay there CEO more then all the employees put together and the owners have made over $102 billion for themselves. Maybe pay mike a million less and themselves a few million less? Its not the taxpayers responsiblity.

Jesus you don't get it. you don't have to lower profits or raise prices. All you have to do is cut a few million from both the waltons profits and mikes salary together. Further what does unions have to do with paying walmart employees a few extra bucks? Walmart employees are not unionized.

As I've already stated, any additional cost of doing business is passed on to the end user/consumer. The end user/consumer always pays. Econ 101.

Walmart customers don't want to pay for your pipe dreams.

Good grief. Yet another one who doesn't get it?

Union pension funds OWN Walmart stock.

@InformedConsent

Remember your words were if you didn't earn it its stealing, further i believe wefare is any money going out that the government doesn't get goods or services in return for it. So how is all this government subsidies to walmart investers and owners not welfare? Also wasn't you and other people saying we don't want to support people who are able body. How much more able body do you get if your worth more then $102 billion dollars? Im sorry maybe im not the most educated man and maybe im missing something. But in my book these guys are worse then the bum who wont work. What does walmart contribute to society beside goods and profits for themselves and below living wages that the taxpayer has to pay for?
