This is most definitely about North Carolina. Gov McCrory claimed he is responsible for creating jobs and getting people back to work because he lowered the amount and weeks paid of unemployment benefits, and also thereby lost EUC benefits for the entire state. So of course, there is no accurate accounting for who is really still unemployed because most of the state lost their benefits, and many thousands of others just stopped looking for work and are no longer registered with NC Works. Oh, yes, dear governor, you did a bang up job here in North Carolina. Gee - I guess I should have voted for you. (NOT!)
Yeah, there is however excellent data on the number employed....which doesn't reflect what the governor had expected to happen I think. He'd really believed that those people would magically cause job creation to occur.
I read his post and had to think about the content. Unemployment and Food Stamps are good programs is the safety net for Americans. The problem lies which both parties can agree on is the miss use of these programs. EBT Cards are missed used from buying Porn to WDW Vacations.
The other problem, the real problem. Obama has created a part time economy and as posted earlier many company's are 32 hours per week. All because of the aggressive tax polices of the President and the Infamous "Obama Care" .
Historical data suggests the switchover to more and more part time jobs, and lower pay started WELL before Obama. Unless of course you're one of the believers in "Obama's time machine".

Whether it started before Obama or not is irrelevant to the fact that he has continued many of the same policies that caused it in the first place and has created new ones that has increased it.
Let them starve. After all, Obummer tells us everyday how many jobs are out there and unemployment is dropping.
Don't work then don't eat and find a good bridge to live under. A couple days of that and a job looks pretty good.
I use to think like that until I became unemployed. 3 years later, savings spent and still no job, I found out, what comes around goes around. Life changing experience I hope no one else has to go through, but it certainly changed my attitude. Just saying....

there aren't any "jobs Americans won't do." that's a bunch of nonsense.
there are, however, "jobs Americans won't do for the pay being offered."
They can for the pay being offered if they change their life style to fit the income. Some may even find that college education didn't matter a damn, while pushing that broom down the corridor. They are just going to have to remind themselves at least it is an honest days work and the roof doesn't leak where they live.
All in all, what is a person willing to do to survive and be of good conscience too.

Im sorry to hear you're such a anti-capitalist.
I'm for a separation of government and capitalism. When history is written the failed economic policies will be Obama's legacy not the House or Senate.
