This is nonsense. Look I don't believe you either. There is no college course that exists to make white people ashamed of being white.
Just think logically about the race of the people who run most schools and a huge percentage of the student body of those schools and often the largest donors to those schools.
University faculty and leadership is usually dominated by white Americans. Usually a huge percentage of the student population is white.
So the people running the school, teaching the students, and the students attending the school are going to allow classes to exist that are designed to undermine the school's faculty, the school's leadership, and a huge segment of the school's students?
Nah, a class like that with that goal can't exist.
Surely you jest. From critical race theory to racialized injustice to white privilege to micro-aggression, and more, colleges [and many high schools] are drowning their students in white guilt, especially white male guilt.
So, 28 pages later, and the author of the article proved his point based on many of these posts here. He was saying that the phrase "check your privilege" assumes that all white people have somehow had it easier. He wanted to make a point that it is an assumption, a prejudicial view of people, based on race. It assumes being white has somehow made him a partaker of this so-called privilege. However, once you delve into each individual story. some had it easy, yes, but others did not.
The larger point is that saying "check your privilege" is prejudicial as well. Instead we shouldn't be classifying any races as a whole and instead be looking at individual circumstances. Saying white people are privileged is no different than saying all black people are victims. I reject both of those.
I see widespread poverty, drug use and hunger because unlike liberals who like to run their mouths and pass meaningless laws, I actually volunteer and get my hands dirty.
You come across as such a partisan hack. Everything is the fault of the 'libruls' or the 'left'. It's so silly I can't even read them anymore.
Wake up! Nothing is absolutely good or absolutely bad.

No classes exist like that? What about a conference full of academic folks discussing that very subject?
Here are the keynote speakers for the "White Privilege Conference" that was in my local area. I see some academic's in there. It's not a far fetched idea to think that this ideology does in fact make it into the classroom.

I was going to show up for this one since it was close to me, and ask if I get in for free since, well you know I'm white. Also, seeing as how I'm white, don't forget to send the Official White Privilege limo for me. The driver can scan my White Privilege Card, so that will take care of the paperwork hassle.
I've found quite a few more. Many courses are housed in Minority Studies programs. I've not seen one titled "White Privilege" but I have seen that mentioned numerous times. Also stumbled across a handy White Privilege Checklist from the University of New Hampshire. Once you start digging into course catalogs, there are some crazy classes out there!
No, the general population is not 80% non hispanic white. Non hispanic white Americans are about 64% of the population and that was in 2010.
I don't know what high schools drop outs black or otherwise has to do with Princeton professors.
I didn't put anyone down.
I didn't bring up poor people in America.
But your info is misguided; and I didn't mention the difference between whites of Hispanic origin, vs non-Hispanic origin, ignoring the fact that many white Hispanics blend in with white America. Regardless, white America is still far more educated than the minority population, and still go onto higher education leading to more opportunity.
Liberals/Democrats hatred for the while male knows no bounds. I am glad to see one of us throw it back in their faces. I hope one day I can show you liberals how white males live in Southwest Virginia or in rural Oregon so you can tell me how privileged they all are.
"White Priviledge" another politically correct myth created by the P.C. left to bring about "white guilt" and to oppress white people.
