So the cops in your town are trained to determine someone's psychological frame of mind?

The killer was polite to the cops and they saw no reason to intervene. In other words, he wasn't doing anything wrong at that time. Calling the cops because you think your son is crazy is a little like calling 911 because you didn't get pickles on your Big Mac. Determining someone is crazy enough to start shooting days later is way above their pay scale.

In the heat of the moment when he first said it, that was one thing. Now, I've seen that he has done at the very least three separate interviews, one with CNN, one with Inside Edition, and one with Anderson Cooper, espousing his views in each. He's putting himself out there, making himself a public figure in this debate, and as such is subject to the same scrutiny any other public figure would get.
Good God. What's next? His picture splashed all over the front of the National Enquirer?

Is the son even buried yet?

No but that has been covered in this thread.

They called because he was threatening to kill people and they knew his history. That's slightly different than missing pickles wouldn't you say?

You're calling a guy who lost his son to senseless violence a crybaby? You're pathetic.

It's what passes for empathy for a republican.

Why don't we here from the first 3 parents who's children were killed by a knife?

You do realize there were more than 3 people killed, right.....never mind, keep up the fake outrage...

No, what you see is fake outrage....so glad you were able to accommodate the the leftist theme..

Of course what you have shown is true democratic "I don't care, but let's blame a republican" crap!

Great job!

The questons you raise are valid, and unfortunately, I don't have the answers. But mentally ill people do pose a threat -- a very volatile, unpredictable threat -- to society as a whole, because let's face it, they are not in their "right mind".

Unfortunately, a lot of mentally ill people don't have the family support/counseling that this kid did, and we see how he turned out. It's disgraceful that the taxpayers get fleeced for billions of dollars funding NFL stadiums for billionaires, yet we've collectively (nearly) turned our back on mentally ill people.
You are so uninformed, you really need to educate yourself and stop spreading lies. Anyone with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and so forth are considered mentally ill because it has to do with the brain. Do you get it....mental and brain. They go together. What is disgraceful is that you think they all pose a threat and are volatile.

They're not ALL a threat, but some are indeed a threat.

If mental illness has to do with the brain, then Democrats are immune to it.
