But who cares? As long as it destroys religion...that's the main purpose, right?

Bristol University | News | July: Fossils found in Siberia suggest all dinosaurs had feathers

Are they birds or not?

So, what DO archaeologists know about dinosaurs, LOL.

Nobody is saying that science knows everything...strawman alert!

But what science doesn't explain, scientists strive to discover.

You think the "main purpose" of science is to "destroy religion"? Seriously?

Science, unlike the static dogma of religion, is a dynamic field. It changes as new discoveries are made. There was a time when the idea of microscopic germs causing sickness was routinely mocked because no one could see them, yet thankfully scientists didn't ascribe to your "whatever we don't know right now is not worth discovering" mindset.

There's a reason why science separate from religion. One is fact-based and fact-seeking, and the other definitely isn't.

Science is never absolute, knowledge is always expanding. What was thought be true and accepted one day is proven to be false the next.

No, I don't think that is what science is at all...only people define the "purpose" of science. I use a spoon to eat, some use it to shoot heroin.

Are you denying that many people champion science only to run peoples faith into the ground?

Most definitely, now if only we can stop infringing on people's lives based on today's facts.. that would be great.

Are you serious? Because science doesn't have all the answers it is an attack on religion?

So much of religion seems to be based on the idea that "we must have answers now. If scientists can't provide it NOW let's make it up!"

Sure - some people use science to discredit faith. That's because faith so often chooses to deny even the most basic science.

Looks like they are fossils of birds.

Why would they not have feathers?

I think some people, even atheists, are put into position to deny or discredit science because of the gatekeeping surrounding so much of it. As a result, people have been given a false dilemma of accepting the "evidence" in the face of it being "overwhelming" or be called an idiot. The types of people who malign skeptics are just as ugly and vindictive as religious zealots.
