Its not just developing the biological weapons, its developing them in large enough quantities, maintaining their viability and finding adequate dispersal methods, not to mention making sure that you don't end up infecting your own people in the process. What you're describing is difficult for any normal state actor, let alone a random extremist group.

A more likely form of terrorism would be contaminating food products with various cultures of different diseases, much like what happened in Oregon in the 1980's with the Rajneeshees and contaminating salad bars with salmonella. These incidents are still the largest examples of bioterrorism on U.S. soil but despite hundreds falling ill, there were no casualties.
Your average hero terrorist group didn't bring ebola here.............our government did. What does that tell you???

Any could be the "big one". You vote for ebola it appears.

That as a society we care about our own? Don't we expect the military to go to great lengths and sacrifice to bring 'ours' home or save a soldiers life? Why is an aide worker, doing Jesus' work in aiding the sick and dying worthy of less?

Pathetic. Simply pathetic and unpatriotic.

It seems (as per CBS) that the patient in NYC has tested negative for Ebola (meaning he does not have Ebola). So Ebola has not hit NYC so far!

Don't you pay attention??
That's a myth that this country takes care of it's own...
At this point the U.S. makes everyone else a priority &
Americans are on the bottom of the list as far as priorities go.

How 'bout that Marine stuck in Mexico??
Is he being brought home?
Don't hold your breath.

The Marine in Mexico was charged with a crime and being held in jail pending a hearing. He transported guns into Mexico, more than likely unknowingly but still committed a crime. The physician stricken with Ebola was not comitting a crime. There's a big difference there. Maybe you should pay attention.

This outbreak has brought a global awareness about ebola.
No longer contained in remote villages but now in the African cities and is but one plane ride away from other countries.

Dude, give me a fu*king break...
How 'bout all the illegals coming here at the taxpayers expense??
So this country is that hypocritical--
A Marine has a few weapons & they're potentially going to lock him up for 14 years over there--
Yet how many illegals have ties to gang bangers, weapons, drugs, etc.?????
Oh, but they can stay, right.....?

And I could care less why the doc go it- he knowingly exposed himself to that virus-
He should've been treated over there.

I love how you gush over a Marine who did something stupid ( that he knew the consequences) yet you condemn another man because he did something charitable for humanity, and HE ALSO knew the risks.
Some people in this country never cease to amaze me.

But hey- let's change the subject and rail on illegals. Bully.

Normally illegal's must come here at their own expense. I..e Coyote, sneak across border, etc. The benefits of illegal's may outweigh any expense: they buy stuff, they normally over pay taxes, they contribute to social security without being able to pull out, and help stabilize price levels. Not sure what that has to do with Ebola though.

That is what is interesting about our policy. By not allowing in persons with a job in. . we have to patrol for groups of criminals AND illegal. If we let in all persons who have a job. . .. you could actually prevent criminals from getting in.

And by saying just because your from Mexico and come to the US for a job you are associated with Gang members is pretty damn racist.

Racists and . . .still nothing to do with Ebola?

why do you care? because of the expense?

HE tried to help him, so go f' himself. hah.

I'm not convinced on the transport and cost back to the US - but I would note it has nothing to do with illegals. There is no ebola in Mexico that I know.
