Shotgun approaches never work well. You don't target the whole but rather the problem. It's impossible to say that the proper amount of calories for a 15 year old is ____. It can't be done. It doesn't take into account the ones that are highly active. It doesn't take into account those that this might be their only meal of the day.
If a kid is overweight make sure he participates in gym class. Even then, he isn't overweight because of school lunches.
Which again, destroys your own argument because you cant overfeed everyone just to compensate for the football players.
A little off subject matter but powdered eggs was all I saw along with powdered milk for 6 months when in combat zone in Korea...I am a survivor from that diet.
When getting back to Japan on R & R every man in the chow line took a qt of fresh milk with his tray of food.
When you do w/o some things in live later on they are treasured in your memory.
maybe... . if Football players are still hungry they should either quit football (damn dangerous sport) or bring some extra snacks
Not sure why I should pay for more lunch for a kid because he is dumb enough to get his brain smashed in
There you go.....someone willing to do something you wouldn't do so you become demeaning towards them. No doubt if you had your way, you would ban ways of life you disagree with.
Why can't these students pack their own lunches? They are not forced to buy their lunches from the school lunchroom.
No, but if for some reason they have to eat at school they do have their meals selected for them.
Suppose you went to a restaurant and had a menu forced on you with selections that you did not want but had to have because you have no choice?
I support the students for refusing to comply with the edicts from Madame Dictator.
