Please stay on the topic, which is supposed to be about pink cookies, not health care financing.

Yet the reason for getting rid of the Pink Cookie is dietary issues that are leading children to be fat.....is this not a reason for health care reforming on Obama's watch, all those FAT children. Notice how the school is responsible for healthy food, while parents feed them RedBull and sugary drinks all the time. Allow kids to sit and play games all day, being outside is known for causing skin-cancer.

By the way the poster was answering another poster who started the OFF TOPIC healthcare. Calling out the correct poster is always a better practice.....

I agree... Ultimately we're being told that the reason for the demise of the pink cookie is for the health of the kids and the fact that it is paid for by the government. Or maybe, just maybe that health and money isn't behind it? Could it be that there are just some people who want to control everyone else? How they spend their money, how they raise their kids, and how they feed their families? Control-freaks..... not happy until it's their way or the highway.....

I'm not so sure that's the reason for getting rid of the pink cookies. In fact, it was stated earlier in the thread that all the school would have to do to keep the pink cookies is (drum roll) make them smaller! I certainly never heard that childhood obesity was the driver behind the ACA. Perhaps you have some links that show so.

Huh? I called out a poster who made a statement about paying for health care, which has NOTHING to do with this thread.

Missouri, Alabama schools drop Michelle O’s lunch program

Missouri, Alabama schools drop Michelle O’s lunch program - EAGnews.org

“Many of the student athletes need four times more calories than an average school lunch provides and therefore are bringing their lunch,” superintendent Claire Dryden told the Annison Star.

LOL, seems that parents are following the advice of many here and it's causing the lunch programs overall to fail. It's a perfect example of how you better consider the ramifications of what you wish for.
