It's turning into fare for only those getting "free" or reduced lunches. Others are bringing lunch from home. What a concept.

Promoting healthy choices is one thing. Banning foods/beverages like the food gestapo is something else.

Seems conservatives would be 100% of the government banning something unhealthy on the tax payers dime since healthcare for these people would be on the taxpayers dime too. Typical ...

Government and ban in the same sentence is a problem. Besides that, the problem isn't school lunches.

What I find ironic... the same people taking up the cause for banning school foods because their unhealthy are for the most part those who say that SNAP recipients should have carte blanche' over their food choices, right down to the potato chips, Fruit Loops, and frozen pizza.

More ironic and while a generalization they are the same that argue (rightly) that prohibiting people from smoking pot is a lost cause.

You can count me as one of the consistent ones. I am in favor of SNAP limits, The Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act, and marijuana prohibition. Nice try, though.
