"Effectiveness of the Vaccine
Ninety-five percent of those who receive the MMR or monovalent measles vaccine at 12 months of age or older are immune after the first dose. After the second dose, 99.7% of those immunized are protected. Immunity is lifelong."
First of all, he's not "admitting" anything. He's lawyered up. He's not going to let himself get in any more trouble than he's already in. He "believes" proper protocol wasn't followed, in the sense of that's what he thinks. Not that's what absolutely, positively happened. More importantly, he did not say the bold.
He also said:
Reasonable scientists can and do differ in their interpretation of information. I will do everything I can to assist any unbiased and objective scientists inside or outside the CDC to analyze data collected by the CDC or other public organizations for the purpose of understanding whether vaccines are associated with an increased risk of autism. There are still more questions than answers, and I appreciate that so many families are looking for answers from the scientific community.
My colleagues and supervisors at the CDC have been entirely professional since this matter became public. In fact, I received a performance-based award after this story came out. I have experienced no pressure or retaliation and certainly was not escorted from the building, as some have stated.
Usually when people make statement via a lawyer they are really being extra careful with their words. We've all read his statement so we all know what he said. I think it's lame that he's lawyered up and kept quiet after the initial information came out. He is being selfish, if you ask me. That said, if what he has said is true then further inquiry needs to be made. Covering it up and hoping that it just goes away is not good practice and it's not in the best interest of the public. A lot of questions remain.
Hooker has a child with autism, which he blames on vaccines. He is anti-vaccine to the core.
Watching a child become sick with a vaccine and regress is every parent's nightmare. Most parents who witness illness and regression with vaccination were very pro-vaccine, refusing to believe that it could happen. But it does happen. Calling him "anti-vaccine to the core" is a lie. He was pro-vaccine. Now he wants to warn all other parents of the risk he did not know he was taking when he vaccinated his own child.

Interesting, because know a lot of moms who whose titers showed they needed a booster during pregnancy blood testing and who were injected with the MMR just after delivering a baby. I don't think they're testing enough adult titers to know what immunity length is. No one asked to test mine until I was pregnant.

The difficulty is that the weight of tons of evidence shows that vaccines do not cause autism. Vaccines do have risks. They are on the printed info every parent is given with every vaccine. Autism just happens to not be one of those risks.
