Um yeah. We were just moving into our new home over 20 yrs ago. It was also hubby's birthday. We were so tired. Went out for dinner to celebrate. Surprised we were able to eat without our faces falling into the food but we managed.
However, that was 20 plus years ago. Not a Dr. Not over in W. Africa who had treated any Ebola patients. Still, not sure what or how much I would have done since coming home.
From what I heard the Dr didn't have a temp/fever at that time. Considering my age now, prob not much at all, even if I didn't have a temp.
He ran 3 miles AND he went bowling AND he went out to eat...when he was fatigued. I'm exhausted just reading that sentence.
It now looks like 15 Caribbean countries have banned foreigners who have traveled in the affected countries and Nigeria, over the past 21-42 days.
Columbia and Jamacia also ban their own nationals, too.
North Korea has banned all visitors from, anywhere.
The U.S., UK and Canada are screening those arriving on connecting commercial flights.
Those countries with non stop flights from any of the three affected countries, France, Morocco and Belgium are not screening upon arrival. No doubt their flight attendants are on high alert for any signs of onboard situations.
Yes, they should be. Why not? It is their choice to go there to treat patients, and their responsibility as medical professionals to ensure public safety on their return home. What is so hard about that? As I said tonight in the other Ebola thread, "self-monitoring" doesn't seem to be going so well, does it. There should be a "holding facility" (a nice one of course) for those returning here after treating patients in Africa.

Nurse 1 and 2 and now this MD were all self monitoring which has worked out well. Thus far no one who had contact with either nurse has become infected. No reason to think someone who rode the subway with this MD before he became symptomatic will become infected.

What about the Emergency Room nurses. They never know what's coming in the doors. And they are treating people without Ebola precautions.
And Obama appoints a Czar. Who cares about the American people. Protecting Americans is his top job and he can't even do that right.
Obama's programming stops him banning flights from the Ebola hot zone, no matter how many Americans are infected. Fundamentally transforming America requires open borders and granting amnesty to several millions of unskilled needy illegals.
Gangs, drug dealers, murderers and carriers of contagious diseases that are infecting our kids in schools are flowing across our southern border daily at will.
No way could an American president be so cold and calculating regarding the safety of Americans, right? Wrong!
