Talk about out of touch.
Every city has public transportation and 80% people live in urban areas.

Actually my house is close to 4000 square feet, but my boat is much smaller and I don't mind living on it for weeks at a time.

I see, good for them but not for you. This seems pretty typical.

Actually he is retiring when his term ends, he is a RINO, not a real conservative. He is also big buddies with the wisconsin bike fed which is one of those awful bicycle advocates that have created nasty laws for motorists here.

If you can't afford a 4000 sq foot house, then you don't get one. 400 sq feet is more than enough.

That is exactly what others are and have done for a long time. Moving to where they can afford a 4000 sq ft house just like you.

I thought conservatives were all about personal responsibility? If they made the choice to move to a place where they were dependent on the automobile, they should be able to deal with the consequences. Of course, some of this is the government's fault for building too many roads, and not supporting enough public transit to be a viable alternative to the car in most places.

Default Dot

I keep on hearing the High Way fund will run out of money. But has any audited their books to see where the money is being spent?

They actually done it to themselves, the Federal Gov. Every one has pushed a incentives to people to buy hybrids and trade their old gas guzzler in. Now the Feds got their wish.

Most people do not understand we as Americans are almost taxed for everything many times over. The bigger problem is the Federal Gov. does not have a clue on running their departments as a business would, Right size the business.
