The Progressives and the banks don't get along.

Or better yet, just get a cashiers check for your whole balance and move it all at once, without worrying about the form.

What's this $9,999 stuff?
Anything over $10k used to be reported to the FBI, no matter the vehicle for transfer. This was one of the things they thought would thwart drug dealers. That certainly worked out well, huh?

The thing he must not know is that under Obama it has been reduced to $5k. He better plan on moving 4999.00 at a time. It should also be monthly rather than daily, because they'll report abnormal deposits, and dozens of $4999 deposits would be completely abnormal.

Really? I think the logic is spun a bit. More of a wish than a reality.

Again I must ask "why would any true conservative think Warren was a good candidate?"

At this point I find it hard to believe true liberals like her as much as the media purports them to.

Its now $5000? That's crazy. Heck, with that measly deposit the FBI should be working triple time nailing 5&dime petty crooks and regular folk.

Well, in that case I would have to vote for the Dem candidate if I must. Repub judges and justices vote more according to their bible (book of fiction) than the actual Constitution of the United States. If I lived in a swing state (where my vote mattered), I'd vote for the Dem.

That's the 8300 I was talking about. Any cash transaction over 10k is required to have an IRS form 8300 completed. Under 10k, it's at the banks discretion, but they're either encouraged or required (not sure) to complete one if they suspect that the customer is trying to avoid it.

Yep, it is now $5k, and this is also at the behest of the banks themselves. See, the harder it is to move money the better for the banks.

No it hasn't.

Also, I've personally withdrawn and deposited cash amounts over $5k in the past few years without any hassle.

Interesting, I didn't know they lowered the amounts. I hate big banks with a passion. I quit Wells Fargo, closed the Sun Trust. I deal with my credit union and my local bank Burke & Herbert which has had a great reputation for the past 150 years.

I really didn't mean to derail the thread by asking about his strange $9,999 thing. I was just curious. Please don't let it stray you from the actual topic, which is something about a senator and his bank. Or something.
