Btw I knew somebody who was fired (probably for being transsexual) after the employer found out after a background check. This girl - you'd never know she was a transsexual. She's even shown me where the hospitals have given her pregnancy tests and offered pap smear appointments. She claims she's never been arrested, and I believe her. She's very down to earth and doesn't really go out much to get into any trouble anyways.
by girl do you mean girl or do you mean a guy who thinks she is a girl or vice versa?

She was born with male parts. You would more than likely consider her a female unless she actually told you her details (assuming you don't believe that transgender people are the gender they are showing themselves to the world as).

Why would you even ask that? Why is that relevant, all things considered equal?

Why discriminate against heterosexuals unless they act out the stereotypical ways gays supposedly act?

Oklahoma has over a dozen proposed anti-gay bills pending passage, so that state may be in the news steadily, should legislators start passing them one by one. There is an incredible amount of hatred and resentment against gays in Oklahoma.

Also maybe coming up in the news is that Oklahoma may have as much as a $600,000,000 budget shortfall. As in Kansas, Oklahoma Republicans are doing a pretty good job driving state government into the ground with their scorched earth policies.

I agree. All he did was roll back the special rights a tiny minority demanded.

I thought sexual orientation pretty much included everyone.

Not any more - at least if your gay or transgender. Today, Republican Governor Sam Brownback issued an executive order removing anti-discrimination protections for State employees on the basis of one's sexual orientation or gender identity. From now on, the State of Kansas can fire, refuse to hire, refuse to promote, etc, etc, etc someone simply because he or she is gay or lesbian.

All employee and applicants is will covered under the current laws, but the real difference is to not make the LGBT a protected class ( you don't even have to be gay to have the same rights). We as a country is way too Politically Correct and a man and a woman should be judged on their work and their qualifications . What you do or anyone off line is the individuals business.

Too many employers tip toe around Gay employees because those same gay employees use that as a tool of advancement and control. Many LGBT use their new found choice as a weapon of manipulation I have seen this too many times in the Hospitality business.

I read some of the cases.
One is a teacher who had an affair with a student (of age).

A few are from Catholic and Christian Schools.

One is from a gay employee at a 7/11. The employers said he was fired for coming in drunk.

How does adding sexual orientation and gender identity to anti discrimination laws give LGBT special rights or make LGBT a protected class?

Do you not have a sexual orientation? If you are heterosexual you too have a sexual orientation.

This is the EO that was eliminated.

LGBT is not even mentioned.
