This is about not making laws by executive order. Rather than passing a law ( the previous) governor issued an executive order. The current governor in effect removed the order.

Discrimination against an individual because that person is transgender is discrimination because of sex in violation of Title VII. This is also known as gender identity discrimination. In addition, lesbian, gay, and bisexual individuals may bring sex discrimination claims. These may include, for example, allegations of sexual harassment or other kinds of sex discrimination, such as adverse actions taken because of the person's non-conformance with sex-stereotypes.
Sex-Based Discrimination
Being fired for being LGBT is covered under Title VII under the guise of sex stereo typing. This entire thread is nonsense.

Put a family photo on your desk? Mention you saw a movie with your boyfriend/girlfriend?

The South/red Midwest really just needs to secede. They can live in the Dark Ages as they wish, and the rest of the US won't be held back by their provincialism. Time to evolve!

Creating second class citizens because of what consenting adults do in the bedroom.

Who's up next? Women on top? Folks who tend to themselves?

The governor actually does have the power to issue that executive order by Kansas state law so him rescinding it is an act of ideology, not legality; negating the point you were making.

And further more, he specifically argued that being gay isnt a protected class meaning his actions give employers in Kansas the ability to fire anyone because of their sexual orientation if they so choose.

This is the very definition of being politically correct, hiding legislation or rescinding it in this case under the cover of equality when you are clearly doing anything but.

If people dont like gay people, just be honest about it, but dont sit there and be naive about the actions and their consequences

If what you said is true, then that also means Brownback was just grandstanding.

I don't understand why so many people so strongly desire the right to discriminate against homosexuals, unless they are grossly offended by their sex acts and don't want to be in the presence of people who do such things. But what about a straight guy at work who brags about his sex life with women with many of his sex acts he talks about you find quite offensive. Should you have the right to expect this person to be fired from work?
