Obama is with Israel not so much with the pandering Netanyahu. Republicans should have never got involved in inviting him here, breaking protocol.

Yeah, I typed a little too quickly- my mouth tends to get ahead of me on occasion. 'Cut ties' is definitely stronger wording than what I'd prefer- I don't really have a problem with Israel per se.

But I'd like to see us put a little diplomatic/ideological distance between us and Israel. Pretty well ALL of our mainstream politicians talk about how sacrosanct our support of Israel is, always and forever, Amen. And how our interests and Israels are one and the same, always, forever, and without question, Amen. It's bull****. I do think we have a lot more in common with them culturally and geopolitically than any surrounding state- but we shouldn't be their attack dog either. Makes me sick to see our politicians falling all over themselves to do the bidding of another country- a country we already GIVE billions of dollars and military support to no less.

Our politicians are so slavish in their devotion that I can see how the conspiracy theorists come up with some of their ideas. But really I think it's a function of the fact that devotion to Israel is a political necessity for both mainstream parties- though for different reasons. Democrats count on the Jewish vote in quite a few Blue States, while Republicans count on the Evangelical vote in lots of red states.

So when I hear shrill accusations about one politician or another not being "pro-Israel" enough... well frankly that's a point in their favor as far as I'm concerned.

You may want to look who actually set the current level of payments to Israel on his way out of office and locked it in for 10 years (Hint: It was in 2007).

I guess the President that finally cuts the massive amount of welfare given to Israel and the military industrial complex will be worse than Hitler to some of you. Yet ironically it will help to end decades of bloodshed and war.

Obama has not changed anything in regards to our relationship with Israel and the Middle East except some of your own deluded perceptions. Every President has had the same exact foreign policy for decades!

That is the definition of insanity and it must end.

We need to cut it all including Egypt, Pakistan, Israel and most importantly Saudi Arabia.
We need to leave the region and never return. Bring OUR TROOPS HOME!

We have enough methane and ethanol gas in this country for all of our cars to run on. It is only the Oil cartel and Federal Reserve banking cartel that have interests in the Middle East.

Don't be lied into WAR!

I'm anything but an Obama supporter but this does go too far. The half-brother even denies that they are brothers. Regardless, you can pick your friends, you can't pick family. And those that Obama has chosen as "friends" (and cabinet members) justify more than enough criticism.
