I take it that you are not a fan of No Child Left Behind. Neither am I. I also stand with Rand Paul in opposition to the Patriot Act.

We agree on those two points.

This is what facetious means:

Quote:
Full Definition of FACETIOUS

1
: joking or jesting often inappropriately : waggish <just being facetious>
2
: meant to be humorous or funny : not serious
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/facetious

To recap - here was my facetious post:

Quote:
In 1994, the Clintons were too busy dealing with Paula Jones' sexual harassment lawsuit (he eventually settled out of court for $850,000) to worry about a few Africans getting chopped to death.

My gosh, do I really have to explain this?

My statement was facetious - see above definition. I hope you don't really think that I believe that all Clinton could think about the entire year of 1994 was his sexual harassment lawsuit involving Paula Jones.

That being said, my FACETIOUS comment also contained an element of truth, and that is that Clinton's overall effectiveness as President was eroded by his nearly unbelievable, and perpetual sexual escapades and their ensuing drama.

What a ***** dog he is.

I thought "Hotel Rwanda" illustrated it beautifully when they played that audio clip of a State Department press conference with the flack spewing all kinds of bs about what constitutes a genocide. As usual, Clinton waffled and people died.

(And Don Cheadle was robbed of an Oscar for his performance in that movie)

That was an excellent movie and if you liked that, I also suggest "Sometimes in April" with the incomparable Idris Elba (of "Luther" fame). Great movie - true story as well.

Sometimes in April (TV Movie 2005) - IMDb

You dont get to use secondary definitions after you have already admitted you were indeed being serious.

Having been on this forum, and reading what some of those on the right believe, it isnt a stretch at all to think that.

Clinton wagged the dog many times. For instance, when he was involved with the investigation that led to his impeachment he bombed Baghdad. Maybe sending troops to Rwanda would have been a good move. If it took people's minds off of Whitewater and Paula Jones it may have prevented him from being forever linked with Andrew Johnson.
