Life was better under the Belgians for whom exactly? The Hutus sure as hell don't think so. If they did, they wouldn't have slaughtered Tutsis.

If you believe in self determination, you should assume that others do too.

Of course, i know it's tempting to believe that we all want our presence to be graced by folks of your ilk, but really, don't flatter yourself too much.
