This is why gun control needs to be national to be effective.

State laws are way too easy to circumvent... most Chicago gangsters simply drive to Indiana for a gun show and come back armed to the teeth.

Of course, the real problem is that gun enthusiasts are usually paranoid and irrational people who only care about being prepared to kill whoever tries to f--k with them, so you'll never get the gun-enthusiast state reps on board.

You got a link to that story?

Comparing the largest state in the country to a city, is a bit of a stretch. Besides, Chicago gun murders is a common every day occurrence.

Do you know that gun control and gun prohibition are not actually the same thing?

.
Not at all. The bulk of these shooting happens in the ghettos of large cities. Not out in the country somewhere.

Oh, and let us know how many people were shot in "trigger happy" Texas last weekend.

Yes! Our country definitely has a gun problem as your post here succinctly points out.

Are you striving for zero gun deaths and shootings?

This is how to accomplish that

Come on. I'm giving you an entire state here against just one city.
I am pretty sure that the Twin Peaks restaurant, where the shooting massacre took place, is no bigger than most restaurants. Certainly not the size of Texas!

They buy guns black market on the streets.. not gun shows.
Have you ever been to a gun show?
At gun shows, the dealers are FFL's and therefore perform background checks just like if you walked into a gun store.
There are some private transfers that take place outside the show itself, but not that many that it would attract gang bangers. It wouldn't be worth the trip to take the chance that they would find the type of gun they were looking for if they found any at all.
Interviews with convicted criminals in prison indicates they get them from the streets.

Calling gun enthusiasts paranoid and irrational is making quite a broad accusation. You really think that ALL
120 million legal gun owners are as you describe? Talk about irrational.

No our country doesn't. Our country has a urban liberal violence problem. If guns were the problem we wouldn't be seeing the national crime rate drop while more and more guns are sold every day. What do the most violent cities in America have in common? Run by democrats. Some have more guns, some have less, but they all have Democrat mayors.

Lets look at the top ten safest states
Vermont
Maine
Virginia
Wyoming
Kentucky
New Hampshire
Idaho
Utah
Minnesota
Montana

For the most part hardly left wing utopia states, are they.

What little credibility you had with this post just went to crap with the underlined part.

Get off the leftist memes and open your eyes, learn, and read and understand that not every (not even close to every) want to kill who ever screws with them....it's not the wild west, not everyone has big trucks and big tires....

Your failure is noted.
