I congratulate you on your longevity, your sterling driving record, and your remarkable memory.
How could I forget? I felt totally humiliated, because I thought of myself as a good and safe driver. But the law is the law. Anyway, for some reason I tend to remember things like that. I still remember the license number of the first 5 cars I owned! LOL Who knows why? I just do. UGL 258, 593 FFR, 699 MFG, 2BNC 330, 404 VXF!!! lol

my 2 favorite quotes both come from dennis miller- old people drive like they're looking for parking, and you shouldnt be given a drivers license if you remember a time when there wernt any cars.
Lately I've noticed in my area that more and more seniors are driving. It just drives me insane they drive at a snail's pace causing massive traffic jams. I'm constantly feeling road rage going to work and i'm an easy going and laid back type of individual. Grandpa & Grandma please stay home or take a nice walk before I run you off the road.
Really? The slow drivers I encounter have nothing to do with age and more to do with texting.
I would like to point out that older Americans often have no alternative but to drive since public transportation is so spotty and poor . What if you were old and restricted to places you could walk to within lets say 1/4 mile? In our area a round trip cab fare to a destination 1 mile distant is about 14 dollars. America is not a nation built for pedestrians or even bicycles!
So if you are stuck in a house unable to shop or do anything else, what kind of life is this? This in a nation that cherishes liberty but for many seniors liberty is bull pucky.each and every day.
Now you don't have to be a senior to be cast into American immobility Hell just become disabled and thus be physically unable to drive or even walk a city block. Then you migh envie an 80 something slowly advancing one step at a time in his walker.
I'll take a snail paced driver over a texting driver any day. At least seniors aren't on their damn phones .
