What are your thoughts about this? I do appreciate the kind gesture but i worry about usa economy & feel that our own education system, soldiers, hospitals deserve this money more than any foreign country. Pakistan is a highly corrupt country & if you follow their politics closely, all the international aid goes into politicians' pockets. It never reaches the needy. I wish there was atleast a way to keep tabs on them to make sure its used for intended purpose. The tax payers should vote on this but unfortunately we dont have a say in anything.
Why not pay for a bunch of low income children in the US to go to a good private school, like the one children were going to in DC until her husband wanted it canceled?

Obama Wrong on D.C. School Vouchers and Hypocritical, Just Like Congress - US News

Despite giving lip service to education reform, the Obama administration has decided to put an end to the very successful D.C. school voucher program. This despite a United States Department of Education report that found students in the nation's capital that were provided with vouchers allowing them to attend private school through the D.C. Opportunity Scholarship program had made statistically significant gains in reading achievement.

Columnist Juan Williams, who can often be found providing the liberal perspective on the Fox News Channel, called the decision to end the program, "Obama's outrageous sin against our kids."

I seriously doubt it will do much in that country.
Give $350 to 200,000 AMERTCAN girls first.

Better yet give OUR money BACK! The govt STEALS our money, then REDISTRIBUTES it to foreigners.

He's talking about terrorism, not taxes.

You can stick your head in the sand and ignore reality if you want.

$18 trillion+ in debt here... no problem, we will pick up the tab...

We have students who can't read and write, and are getting shot to death more often... you need help over there, no problem - we would love to help.
