I mean seriously why should they be paid so much money? What do they produce? No technology, products, services? Nothing. This is income inequality at the finest.

What an unbelievable system!

Why mad at CEOs? Hell at least they lead companies that produce something. Let's apply the income equality across the board, starting with Hollywood.

and the only way to fix this and the other high salaries for athletes and musicians is to quit supporting them with your purchase of tickets, CD's, DVD's and other branded merchandise.

These actors through their track record and acting chops bring in millions of dollars to the studio. They are no different than a football player whose talent creates a winning team which makes millions for the teams owner. The people who impact a products success can demand part of the revenue.

All the whining...... about overpaid actors, athletes and CEOs. If you're mad about it, vote with your wallet. Don't see their movies or watch their games or buy from their companies. No one is stopping you from doing this and it'll have more of an effect than whining.

They do provide something to society. People enjoy and get a release by watching their movies. Any one who thinks it is unfair they should stop going to the movies. At least that way someone can stop most of their money going to celebrities.

So what? It's what their agents and managers negotiate for them from the studios. Good for them for being able to make so much money memorizing a script and finding a mark to stand on.

Income equality? Well, life isn't fair.

As a bit of an aside, there used to be a sports radio talk show host that would get upset when people would call in complaining about the outrageous pay for baseball and football players, and the resultant rising ticket prices for sporting events.

"Why don't you complain about what Julia Roberts gets paid! Or (whomever)! They get $20 million per movie!"

I had always wished that I had called in to Norm (the host) to say that 'they' may well pay George Clooney and others $20 million to star in a movie, but that the price of a ticket to a movie has remained remarkably low over the decades. I used to pay, in the mid 1970s, one dollar, and now I pay around $8.00.

Baseball or football tickets? I have been pretty well priced out of the market.

It is indeed comparing apples to wombats.

I think we should apply income equality across the board, starting with liberal Hollywood.

And the athletes too.
