Well, you forget. I won't.

No, I'm actually talking about the great Progressive Movement.... Of which, were Democrat & Republican.
Woodrow Wilson, a Democrat and not from the South, was the most racist President in the 20th Century.
He rid all blacks from a productive society and put them back in bondage as a 3rd class citizen.

He wasn't progressive on the issue of race.

And yes, he was Southern. That's another thing that I'll hold against him.

Wilson was a southerner.

And no, he didn't do black folks any favors. But then, neither did any of his predecessors or most of his successors.

But then, you knew that.

Wilson was a snake, who lied to African Americans and immediately proceeded to crush us under foot.

But then, he was a white southerner. Not exactly a man blacks should've trusted in early 20th century America. Hell, early 21st century either.

Of course Wilson was a progressive when it came to race. Big government all the way. He believed in and used government intervention to discriminate.

Born in Virginia...one of the most fanatically pro Southern States. The state where the southern half of the state decided to close ALL of its public schools rather than let blacks attend them. Deep South States didn't even do that.

Raised in Georgia and South Carolina...nothing more needs to be said about those places.

He was a Reb all day long. And he's STILL a Reb even in death.

Using big government wouldn't have been necessary to eliminate James Crow had white folks lived up to the horse dung that they brainwashed us with.

As for Wilson using big government to disenfranchise blacks, let's not get carried away with the faux outrage. You may be against using big government to disempower people, but I doubt that it disgusts you all that much given that it wasn't being used to disenfranchise anyone related to you.

But thanks anyway.

Unbelievable in the present day yet historically true, 'The Lost Class of '59.' Their priority was ...

On second thought, maybe it's not so unbelievable in the present day.

here will not be a Kentucky Derby party at Dartmouth College this year because some students allege that one of the nation’s most prestigious horse races is racist.

And fair warning – before reading further you might want to make a batch of Mint Juleps. You’re going to need it.

Back in 2015, a group of Black Lives Matter protestors targeted an exclusive Kentucky Derby party hosted by the ladies of Kappa Delta Epsilon – calling the event overtly racist and “recreating an Antebellum South atmosphere on the Ivy League campus.”

The protestors accused the party of being a “bastion of racism, exclusion and oppression.” They chanted, “What is Derby? It’s the face of genocide” and “What is Derby? It’s the face of police brutality.”

Dartmouth was a very solid and respectable college back in 1950.

Then things changed.
