Or they could order the pills online and go get a D&C from a facility that is not regulated the same as surgical centers in Texas.

Same procedure different regulations.
I wonder why providers of D&C for miscarriages were not required to follow the same regulations in TX?

SCOTUS just stripped women of their 14th Amendment right to equal protection. That sets a horrible legal precedent.

Liberals' War on Women: they don't deserve the same Constitutional rights as men.

Ridiculous. Give it up already. Texas wants to take ALL access to abortion clinics away. How does that help women? Pretty obvious you are against abortion and all your posts are fundamentalist christian talking points.

The "unequal treatment of woman" mantra is the latest of fundamentalist christians in response to the SCOTUS ruling. (As if the church has been a leader of women's rights.)
Pro-Life Setback: Supreme Court Strikes Down Women's Safety - John Stonestreet

I have an idea, IC and those who are concerned for women's safety during abortions, should start a non-profit to pay for a woman to have her abortion in the hospital.

SCOTUS has ruled that women, specifically, do NOT have that 14th Amendment right to equal protection, thereby setting a horrendous legal precedent for the unequal and inferior treatment of women.
The answer is yes! Same treatment for women's medical facilities as men's. Next!

That really is what it is all about..........getting clinics abolished totally. They simply were making it so hard for clinics to comply and for women to access them that they effectively eliminated abortions.

Like I mentioned, there are thousands and thousands of children awaiting adoption.......if any of you pro lifers would like to step up and put your money where your mouths are.

The double standard in which women are treated as inferior 2nd class citizens is EXACTLY what begets the Gosnells and Brighams of the abortion industry. And make no mistake... those aren't nonprofits. They made money off of their abysmal and deplorable treatment of women. And SCOTUS just ruled that there's no need for abortionist profiteers like them to have to meet state surgery center standards.
Instead of repeating yourself, give an example of one "men's ambulatory surgical center" that meets only men's needs and not women's needs.

I grew up in a time when abortions were back alley affairs, with substandard "Doctors" or home remedies. Those were horrible times for women, and many were harmed or died from these procedures.

No one will ever convince the other side that they are wrong in their beliefs but I am happy the Supreme Court has taken this position. Abortions are going to happen, whether in a clinic or in a back room somewhere, and it is much better to have them done correctly.

I see the Prolife people always wanting to see every child born, but I rarely see any of them stepping up to offer to take that child and raise it. Also, every time I see them out there carrying signs, the majority of them are 70 year old men and women who have no dog in this fight whatsoever.

"no one relishes the thoughts of having an abortion"

I don't know if that is true, and NEITHER do you.

If what you claim is true why do so many women have MULTIPLE abortions?

One would think that if they are so bad why do they put themselves in the same situation multiple times?

And THIS is from the VERY LIBERAL NY Times:

"Moreover, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that more than 44 percent of these were repeat abortions, and 1 in 5 represent a third or even higher order abortion.

If anything, these statistics underreport the phenomenon of repeat abortion. Statistics like these – abortion is common, not rare, and a significant number of women are resorting to it on multiple occasions – might find little favor among the public."

Too easy: Abortion facilities. SCOTUS has ruled that abortion facilities that perform surgical procedures on women don't have to meet the standards every other ambulatory surgery center has to meet.

Men
at ambulatory surgery facilities: minimum state standards have to be met.

Women getting a surgical abortion: no surgery facility standards necessary.

That's EXACTLY how the Gosnells and Brighams of the abortion industry are allowed to continue victimizing women.

What Men's ambulatory surgical facility are you referring to?

This is a very rational and compassionate response.

Congrats on being reasonable! (A rarity when it comes to this topic!)
