Oh, and by the way, I'm still waiting for your proof that 'MDs are in all state legislatures'.
She won't provide it, because it's not true, and she also can't guarantee that all doctors see the issue as she does, which would undermine her argument.

"Doc" Anderson from the Texas State Legislature is a vet.

Perhaps you can explain why a facility performing surgical abortions on an outpatient basis shouldn't have to meet the same requirements.

Are you yet another who thinks it's OK that women are discriminated against and treated as 2nd class citizens when it comes to their gender-specific health care needs?

Like I said... ambulatory surgery. The SCOTUS ruling violates the equal protection clause.
Why a special law for abortion centers? Why weren't they included with all the other ambulatory surgery centers?

Because surgical abortions were being performed in doctor's offices which were unlicensed to perform ambulatory surgery.

Here's just a quick sample of 3 in TX:

The Texas State Senate: District 5
The Texas State Senate: District 25
Texas House of Representatives : Representative*

If you want to find them all, you look them up.

How sad that so many of you are so under/misinformed.

And that law hasn't gone anywhere.

What you fail to comprehend is that the law that the Supreme Court ruled on was a law targeting specifically and ONLY abortion centers. And the law didn't raise the standards for other clinics that performed similar services (colonscopies, for example), and therefore it was not an equal and impartial application of the law.

Where does the the Constitution concern itself with the equal rights of medial procedures?

It's unconstitutional to write laws ensuring better health care for one medical procedure, and not addressing all medical procedures simultaneously?

The Constitution says it's illegal to address medical procedures in a peace meal fashion? Because you have to write laws for all medical procedures, at the same time?
