I know some 'undercover' trump supporters in my social circle who just want to avoid being labelled a racist or sexist so they say out loud that they voted for Hillary but in reality they voted for Trump. All these media polls & statistics have proved to be fake & made up so I dont believe anything they say. I talk to people around me & read through the public forums to get a gist of peoples' opinions & views. Even the protestors are hired help & a lot of them didnt even bother to vote. So I dont trust this so called invisible half of the country hating Trump. If he does a good job we will keep him, if not, we will switch our votes next elections & kick him out. Give him a fair chance for now.
There was never any visible support for Hillary here in NE Ohio. Trump signs were everywhere. I could count the Hillary signs on my two hands, and that was counting the multiple signs in front of the same house!
This tells me a lot of Democrats voted for Trump.

Trump supporters are rejoicing now but trust me, they will grow tired of how much the president they like is disliked by over half of the country. Over half. They will grow weary of defending him. And if he privatizes Medicare and Social Security, a lot of unpleasantness will likely follow; only time will tell. For those that think they will get rich with Social Security privatization and will then have no problem affording private insurance policies at 70, Enron employees thought they would be rich too.

The electoral college may elect the president, but it doesn't negate that a much larger portion of the country did not want Trump. They are reminded daily that a small number of rural voters had more power than entire metropolitan areas. Both areas may work and pay taxes but saying those large areas have less say is not going to wear well when Trump makes those inevitable mistakes.
Lets put something in perspective here. There are approx. 300,000,000 citizens of this country conservatively. Hillary has about a 2,000,000 vote lead in the popular vote, but let's give her 3,000,000 just for fun. That's 1% more people that would have preferred her. That's what you call a negligible difference, and an embarrassment when you consider that Obama won the PV by 10 million in '08... Even if we just limit it to the number of people who voted, she's still only got, what, 1.5% more? Where I come from, that doesn't constitute a "much larger portion"....

And let's also dispel with this myth that "Republicans like Donald Trump".... I realize we all have pretty short memories when it comes to politics, but you'll remember that of the one that voted, 65% did NOT vote for Donald Trump in the primaries. A compelling majority of us would have preferred someone else, but when faced with the choice of an unstable buffoon like Trump, or someone that at the very least, would have created an environment for more far Left Lunacy to take hold, we chose the buffoon. Think about that. That's an indictment of your side.

As a fellow NE Ohioan. I can vouch for that. I saw a ton of Trump signs, but of the ones I can recall, I only saw about 4 Hillary signs.

To be fair, in places such as the above there were likely 'undercover' Hillary supporters who did not want to be outed for fear of being label a supporter of a criminal and liberal.

I was going to ask what type of people you know, or just say that you must know an odd group of people because the most patriotic people I know would never spend a second ripping on other countries as beneath them or inferior, that pride and patriotism don't require that.

Why is that? Dish it out but get very vengeful and defensive when you get it back. All I know is, I'll take real freedom over the 'murican "freedom" which is really freedom for the well off whites
Then I read the above, and the reason for your attitude became obvious. The chip on your shoulder.

Don't think so, pal. This election was an utter repudiation of Democrat policies (progressivism) that have been destroying America. Republicans are going to have no second thoughts. None.
That would be true if in fact Trump was a republican, let's not read too much into a campaign of the two most unpopular candidates in history. Making conclusions that the results amounted to anything other than that is delusional.

The truth is that republicans party is now in charge throughout the country (assuming Trump is a republican), governors, state and federal congress, so now they are responsible for our country.

Meh. Trump will start with less then Obama regarding control, with a worse deficit, and with a significantly more divided country (thanks media!). I'm interested to see if he upholds four things: Second Amendment, Tax Plans, Immigration, and Obamacare.

If he does those three things he will be the most accomplished president within my lifetime so far.
