History books are going to show people said things like this as well. And those people, if still alive, will be wiping egg of their faces...

There is no need, just basic analysis shows Obama is going to be deemed a failure... he tried to ram through his policies without asking anyone their opinion, and he received rebuke for that in 2010 elections.... tried it again and 2012 was a disaster... he was fortunate to have raw numbers on his side but everyone else suffered... 2014 elections got worse and against unbelievable odds, 2016 was earth shattering.. Democrats do not lose four straight elections, destroyed the blue wall, and have Trump elected because was Obama the best... nobody is going to remember the stock market recovery in history books or other wins, they remember the bad... Obama was very bad... Merry Christmas...

I agree that socialism doesn't work. But what France and most of continental Europe have is more mercantilism with a modern label. It is not real socialism. True capitalism doesn't work either in a country where people are habituated to waiting for governments to tell them what to do. Sadly, France has always thus been. The "liberal" periods have been bloodbaths at worst, i.e. the French Revolution or chaotic at best, i.e. the Third Republic.

France will do what's best for France. Americans would do well try'na figure out how to run their own country with a political system that's VERY broken at this point.

Lotta nerve pointing fingers at France.

In the most technical sense, he (SHABAZZ) may be right, since historians are generally liberals. That's why they write glowingly of the Great Society and still credit Gorbachev for being the one who "led the Soviet Union to democracy" and Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher just happened to be standing around. If you read any history book, it's basically like what you would expect if a liberal wrote it: completely incorrect.

It's quite unlikely that any history book will delve much into how bad Obama's presidency was, jutst like it won't do so for Bill Clinton. I mean, the majority of people only know Bill Clinton as "good economy, received Lewinskies in the Oval Office." His presidency was recent and people lived through it and they already forget that Clinton compiled FBI files against his enemies, that he got people to smuggle classified documents out, that when documents were subpoenaed they just disappeared until the investigation ended and then they reappeared on some random White House table, he and Al Gore participating in campaign election finance fraud with foreign countries and compromised national security, that he pardoned people directly involved in all of these things as he was high-tailing it out the door from near-impeachment, that he gave rocket technology to the Chinese, that he gave nukes to North Korea using the same tired liberal arguments that Obama later used for Iran, that he killed Americans on US soil which led a fringe guy to be scared that the government would do that to any of us and then bombed a federal building, that he ignored terrorism for 8 years so he wouldn't have poor opinion polls for tackling difficult issues, that he actually created a wall of information that directly led to 9/11, that his administration accelerated the Democrat policies that led to the housing crash.

That's just off the top of my head and without even naming all of their other ancillary scandals, such as attempting political nepotism with Travelgate. If I did that with Obama, I'd be typing until tomorrow. Obama's administrations were so riddled with scandal and corruption that you literally forget half of them because his main technique was to overwhelm people's senses with corruption -- to be so corrupt that you'd be forced to just pick one to focus on. And yet, most people only think the main problem was "golfed a lot and went on late night shows." Aw, shucks, I forgot about how he used multiple government agencies in illegal ways, blamed it on random people who were never punished, lied about finding out about it from reading the paper, and then moved on to the next scandal. Yeah, the real problem was he was on a reality show with Bear Gryllis.

Liberalism is about power, money, corruption, sex, and scandal. That's it. Nobody cares what the historians write because we lived through it. But the key is to remember what you lived through and teach everyone you know about it so they also do not forget. Or else you'll get Jimmy Carter, who was the worst President ever until the next Democrat, but people just view him as "this nice guy with a Southern accent who was a peanut farmer and wore sweaters and now he builds houses for the poor, what a great guy!"

America tried affirmative action -- didn't work.

Neither did socialism (another kind of affirmative action) in Europe.

Nationalism and populism are the wave of the future.

Liberal media will probably try to skew it that way.
But the truth is that poll after poll showed 70% of Americans felt we were headed in the wrong direction under Obama. But 55% liked (approved of) him personally.
