Merkel is setting the stage for a 3rd European war in 100 years. She has recreated a new East/West divide, 25 years after the last such divide ended. She's a disaster for Germany and Europe.

Chancellor Merkel has found herself in the deeply unenviable position of having an expansionist Russia in one corner and the nightmare in Syria in another.

That Syria's problems are the result of Russia's meddling is apparently forgotten.

When one works at her level of politics, you do not "care" per se. I am sure Angela Merkel the person has distinct feelings. Chancellor Merkel, however, has a nation to run and must worry about the health and stability of the European Union.

Rest assured, Germans are aware of this. They even know about the European Union

If anyone has a legitimate complaint against Chancellor Merkel, it's the Greeks. And it isn't clear to me that they have much room to complain.

Syria is Obamas baby thanks to his meddling and push for regime change and the German people don't owe the Greeks anything

And Trump isn't even in office yet but you're adorable for thinking of him prior to the start of his 4 years. You must be a fan!

More attention on Trump than the other guy.

German spy agency employee reportedly arrested over Islamist comments, sharing agency material | Fox News

Quote:
A German citizen employed by the country’s domestic intelligence agency was arrested Tuesday for allegedly making Islamist declarations on the internet and sharing internal material, Reuters reports.

A spokesman the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, known as BfV, did not confirm a report in Die Welt newspaper that the 51-year-old employee had planned to explode a bomb at the agency's central office in Cologne or provide details on the man's position at the agency.
This matters because their intelligence service communicates with ours given our large military presence in Germany. It's not a great leap for info to get to a Jihadist spy in their intelligence service and then to ISIS.

For those unfamiliar with German social expectations, talking loudly in large groups (yelling) while traveling in large groups along with music blasting in a city street is not what your average German would define as integrating.

Here is my common question. When does a country reach " enough" with refugees before a country begins to restrict the large inflow. Do the math - if the U.S. DOUBLES the number of refugees to 4 million, we wouldn't make a DENT in world poverty. We would have to accept at least 40 million per year to begin to make a dent in world poverty. Can we do that? Can any country support that number into their welfare programs?

Just ask yourself what the end looks like for whatever country is when it comes to immigration. Each year, there are 80 million newborns that are born into poverty. If any country thinks they can feed, provide clothes, and house 80 million new refugees, each year, that country will collapse..... Use logic.

You speak with common sense and logic. Too bad that it's lost on so many bleeding hearts.

It isn't that someone like Merkel doesn't care, it's that she doesn't see that these events are connected to her bad decisions. Idealists tend to also be arrogant. Arrogant people are very slow to see that they are wrong. She probably thinks this is all some random violence that has nothing to do with her policies. In fact I would wager that she honestly feels it is all do to all those Germans who are xenophobic racists who can't see her big picture. If only they would welcome these refugees with love and understanding then these refugees wouldn't feel compelled to do bad things.

Then get U.S. troops out of Germany. We shouldn't be there anyway. The Germans can't defend themselves by now?

Please.
