Trump isnt even tweeting about it. The Senate allowing massive price gouging which kills off huge numbers of Americans who cant get the medicine they need is as bad as it gets. Trump should use his enormous influence he has to bring attention to what happened in the Senate last night. Why doesnt he do it? Does he have the guts to finally take on big pharma, not just through talking points?

For Some Reason, Cory Booker and 12 Other Dems Killed a Bill That Would Lower Drug Prices*

"For some reason?"

How many pharma corps are located in NJ?

I would think far more of Trump if he took this on as strongly as he does actresses dissing him.

The Senate rejected this idea and the only tweet from Trump after the Senate said no to cheaper medicine is this:
Quote:

Congrats to the Senate for taking the first step to #RepealObamacare- now it's onto the House!

The first step was the first vote. Give it some time. That's much more than has been attempted in the past. It's not happening overnight but I know you know that.

Why is Trump praising the Senate after they voted no to cheaper drugs? This isnt the first time they've said no the cheaper drugs for the American people. Time and again, the puppets in Congress have voted it down. Who is your senator and are you ready to hold him or her accountable? Have you contacted your senator?

I heard that also - I wonder if he thinks it would be better for the USA to set up the same kind of deal with Pharma that Canada set up for their country. Why should be deal through Canada when we have more purchasing power in the USA and can set up our OWN DEAL. We shouldn't need a middleman.

There would be no middleman as soon as Canadian imports are opened up, big pharma will be begging to join the negotiation table for a new policy.

Why is Trump praising Congress after they said no to cheaper drugs by the way?

I have no opinion on this but there are two sides to every story. Here is Booker's side:

Quote:
I support the importation of prescription drugs as a key part of a strategy to help control the skyrocketing cost of medications. Any plan to allow the importation of prescription medications should also include consumer protections that ensure foreign drugs meet American safety standards. I opposed an amendment put forward last night that didn’t meet this test. The rising cost of medications is a life-and-death issue for millions of Americans, which is why I also voted for amendments last night that bring drug prices down and protect Medicare’s prescription drug benefit. I‎’m committed to finding solutions that allow for prescription drug importation with adequate safety standards.
You can also look at this as: He voted 'No' to imported drugs that don't meet safety standards.
