They always have an excuse. Big Pharma probably wrote that for him.

Because Canadians are falling over left and right over unsafe drugs. It's a B.S. excuse.

Yup. Puppets of the most powerful lobbyists in DC always use various excuses to why they dont vote against the will of their financial overlords. They would never say: "Hey, I take huge donations from the donor class and serve their interests at the expense of the American people!"

It appears Cory Booker had roughly 267,338 reasons:

LOL, so true. I just wonder how many of them voted "Yea" after they already new it didn't have the votes to pass. That way they can brag about voting for it even though they really wanted it to fail. Typical two-faced swap rat strategy.

I can see a common thread among the Democratic "Nays": Most of them are the vulnerable Democratic senators up for reelection in 2018.

Does the bill specify the drugs can only be imported from Canada?

Booker and his lobbyists money has been exposed for what it is. Sanders presented this amendment . Like his politics or not do you really think he would present something that would do harm?

The common thread among the Democratic Nays is this: Huge contributions from big pharma. Some are up for re-election in 2022, 2020, 2018 and some are from deep blue states, some are from red states. The common thread is that they are puppets, just like the 40 GOP senators that voted against it as well. Time to hold the stooges accountable.

Some Republicans voted against this too. Including Ron Johnson from Wisconsin.
