BS. It takes at least two years to reach refugee status.

ALL CITIZENS FROM THOSE COUNTRIES ARE BANNED. NOT JUST REFUGEES.

I answered the part of your question that had to do with the topic. The other stuff is not relevant.

Where do you come up with this stuff?

Must have had all liberal teachers.

The very FACT that they are ILLEGAL MAKES THEM CRIMINALS and are subject to arrest and jail or deportation.

This board confuses me. What President Trump was elected to do was to solve the illegal immigration issue. How did that morph into a mandate to go after green card holders etc. ? Was the issue of illegal immigrants used as a tool, justification to address others issues that have nothing to do with illegal immigration?

If the issue is national security then why merge it or murky it with illegal immigration concerns. Let the nation be clear and talk about National Security.

He could have at least put these people on notice so they could make travel arrangements to return. There was no advance warning about permanent residents being barred entry, just visa applicants and refugees. There will most definitely be lawsuits.

I find it interesting that Saudi Arabia isn't on the list of banned countries, even though Saudi Arabia is the mother ship of radical Islamic extremism and exports it all over the world. And their citizens can still get a visa and come to the US. Didn't really make sense, but then I remembered, Trump does business in Saudi Arabia.

Sorry, they hold VISA's and a Visa CAN be suspended or revoke at ANY TIME.

OMG get a clue.

Seriously.

That's not correct. You cannot just revoke a Green Card "at any time" under the current law.

I certainly didn't envision it being to detain green card holders, students who are here legally, tearing families apart, etc. But his conservative base seems to love it.

Thank you. Trump's hastily thought out EO's are a JOKE. No one knew what to do or how to do it becuase it was not communicated to those who are charged with carrying out his order.

A complete and utter failure at the highest level.

No one should be surprised.

It's not just LPRs. It's also US citizens with ties to the ME:

Why? His core electorate is loving it. You can't tell the pure glee in their posts? People they don't like are being stepped on, and that's the sort of power they like.

WTF are you talking about. Legal permanent residents - the ones following the rules and filling out the forms and standing in line and doing everything right - went to visit family in Tehran. Trump changed the rules on them with no warning, and there they are. These are people with jobs and cars and homes and pets and an apparently unfounded trust that their new country was one of laws.
