She was not told about the EO until it was released. Even congress was not given a heads up about the EO. She was not able to research it until after it was released. She looked it over and decided she would not defend it and told her department the same. Trump fired her for it. In the big picture it does not matter because she was not going to be around much longer any way. Once Sessions is confirmed she was going to be out anyway. All they had to to was appoint a counsel to defend the EO, and the acting AG would be gone as soon as Sessions is confirmed. She said she couldn't defend the EO, that's not the first time that has happened in the AG's office, normal protocol is that you would assign counsel to defend the EO since the acting AG will be gone in a few weeks anyway. But this is just another example of a very inexperienced team making unforced errors by the hour, it will not work out well for them.
I wish Trump would get rid of Steve Bannon and bring someone on board like Mike Rogers (who Kushner got rid of) he would have given Trump far better advice than Bannon who admits being a "Leninist"
