Not really..ask any ICE agent, they biggest vulnerability are the border crossings, they've asked repeatedly to beef up security there and instead they get a fence, much of which will be 'invisible'. And as far as drugs, guns, back-pack nukes, ever hear of drones?

He lied.

It wouldn't be a problem if we put employers who hired them in prison, would it? They don't come here for the beaches, they have their own

ICE will tell you with out support of manpower and equipment -the wall is useless- they are craftsmen at breaking past those walls-

1- to hire and train and have 1 agent takes approximately 2 years -
2- each agent needs a series of stuffs- equipment- vehicle gas- etc etc and the rest goes on -
3- DHS is till under a CR continuing resolution- they cannot buy a pen- and this budget is attached to OBAMACARE
so lets see what 2 years means ---starting when? yawn

Not to mention they have 300 vacancies that they haven't even been able to fill and their 18 month turnover rate is around 30%. For what they require for the job, the pay isn't great and the working conditions suck. But maybe Trump will just conscript people to patrol the border

That's due to policies of the Obama administration. It was deliberate.

Expect it to change now.

But they didn't appropriate money for continuing construction. The original appropriation has long been spent. More money will require more appropriation bills. Nor did that bill sweep away any of the issues raised by pot #59.

How? The funding is there the jobs are unfilled. For as much as you hate Obama you sure give him a lot of credit for him to be able to get things done. People don't want the jobs, they are sucky jobs, the best employees leave and move on to local law enforcement, is that Obama's fault too?
