To lie: Intentionally and knowingly say a falsehood.
Obama was given bad advice that turned out to not be true. There is no evidence that he knew you would not be able to keep your doctor when he said that. That is not a lie.
Sessions said something that is factually incorrect. He met with the Russians and said he did not. That is a lie.
Keep firing blanks. Cut the cord a while back. Try responding, not denigrating or caricaturing. Sorry about the big words.

Except it is not just the left. The GOP, though not calling for his resignation, are pretty much in lock step with the Dems on this one. The only people defending him are the Trump loyalists here on this forum.
"...You can tell how much trouble a Washington politician is in by how forcefully his (or her) allies push back in the immediate aftermath of a bombshell negative story. By that measure, Attorney General Jeff Sessions is in big, big trouble.

Jason Chaffetz, the Utah Republican who chairs the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, tweeted Thursday morning that Sessions must recuse himself from the ongoing FBI investigation into Russia's attempts to influence the 2016 election and “clarify” his testimony to the Judiciary Committee. Sen. Rob Portman of Ohio has also called for Sessions to recuse himself. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, a 2016 presidential candidate, went a step further..."
I think the republicans are stupid too for jumping on that bandwagon. It proves the republicans are not as united as so many want the public to believe. This BS is hurting both sides for different reasons but I think at the end of the day, it will hurt the left more.
He did not dispense false information. He was asked about an alleged Russian blackmail scheme and if Trump people were in contact with them about it? He was not. Simple.
Garbage is thrown out there by the DNC and they eat it up.
We've seen the video with Franken's long convoluted question and Sessions answer. Sessions did NOT lie.
Agreed.
Franken is the one who screwed up by the way he worded the question. It was a "gotcha" question. But there's not much of a case here, which is why I'm laughing at Pelosi's tweet about Sessions needing to resign.
And I WANT Sessions to be replaced by a better candidate who's younger and not as southern, but......Sessions didn't do anything wrong here.
Like a cooked pig, Sessions is done! Stick a fork in him! The Confederate cracker can go back to Alabama with a banjo on his knee and a stick up his ....
