Mar-o-Lago isn't costing a dime to you. The jet fuel(Basically Kerosene) is the big whopping cost.

I actually believe the house reps and senators should remain in their districts and telecommute to D.C. I'm sick of paying for their flights back and forth. I'm sick of paying for an office in their home district and one in DC. I'm sick of paying for a car service. I'm sick of paying for a staff in each location. I'm sick of paying for a meal stipend for them in DC.

Let's pay for four or five trips to D.C. for them each session while making them accessible to the people they represent most of the year and save us tax payers a ton of money.

As a side note, imagine how much harder it will be for lobbyists. Also, maybe they won't get that DC mindset.
I would absolutely support this, and the members who want to spend more time in DC could just pay for it out of pocket.

It's really very wasteful spending.

Absolutely agree. I think this is something both sides could get behind. Imagine what we could do with all that extra money?

You honestly think all the staff and security are put up there for free? He's already funneled millions in campaign contributions into that property during the campaign. And he continues to line his own pockets. Wake up.

Exactly right, Fiyero.

The Orange Clown has cost the American taxpayers more on his vacations in 4 weeks than Obama did in an entire year.

Martha's Vineyard is about half the distance from DC that Mar a Lago is.

Give the President a break....He works longer and harder all day and is the most transparent President that I've seen in all my voting years since the 1970's.
So, what you're saying is, President Trump needs a safespace?

I didn't think he had family in Florida, they are all in NYC or Washington, D.C., right?

The line about transparency, I'll just have to assume you are kidding. Actually, the whole post reads as a joke when you think about it.

He's housing the security detail and all the staff he lugs along with him for free, then?

You don't think jetting down to Florida from D.C. every weekend, ON YOUR DIME, isn't adding up?

Yes, I honestly do, until you provide me the evidence to change my tune.

Sounds like something Lynch should have looked into, unless there was nothing to look at and just another witch hunt.
